Planning Your Event
This is where it starts, what you do here is the first step in meeting the objectives of your event and putting those big, uncontrollable smiles on the faces around you.
If you’ve planned events before you’ll know the ropes, if you haven’t you’ll feel like you’re standing at the edge of a minefield - don’t panic. Powerwaves have been creating, planning and managing events - from a half-day for half a dozen people, to events for hundreds of guests, and everything in between - since 1990. We’ll help you to get it right!
The best place to start is to ask yourself some questions: why, when, where, and how much? Why do you want to run an event, what are your objectives, what’s the purpose? When do you want to do it, is there a time of year when the right staff are available, should it coincide with some major business news or the confirmation of a new order? Where do you want to do it, overseas, in the UK, on the sea, on land?
How much? That’s a key question, what is the budget? Whether it’s an overall figure, or a figure per person, we need to know what budget you have so that we know what we have to work with. There’s no point in disappointing you with proposals that you can’t afford when we should be making you ecstatic with proposals that are within your budget. And, we can shape events to suit budgets. Nothing is cast in stone and many things can be changed, even swapping lunch from one restaurant to another, or changing the menu, can make a difference. Quality needn’t be expensive (but remember, we don’t do anything "cheap").
Get the answers to these questions buttoned down and you’re on your way, fail to answer them and you’ll have a gap before you start. When you’ve got your answers (or before if that might help you answer them) contact us. The sooner we start talking the sooner we can get ideas flowing, then we can start to create “your” event...

We work on a no surprises basis. You’ll know all you need to know, you can ask any questions at anytime and everything that should happen, will happen.

What you see on your event plan is what you get, at the price shown on the plan - there’ll be no surprises there! Unless you request and agree additional extras as your event is created, the price we gave you is the price you’ll pay. And, if you do add to your event we’ll always run a new price by you for approval before spending your money!
