Evening Events
Our evening vents are fun, exciting and suitable for small and large groups of people, here are our four most popular events;
Honda Aerobatic Planes
Guests will visit Biggin Hill aerodrome where they will be shown the skills that are required to pilot one of the Honda Dream Team aerobatic planes. Centre-piece of the dream team is, of course, the aerobatic display, and the powerful SU26 allows Will Curtis to demonstrate a spectacular but safe sequence of aerobatics including some unique “helicoptering” manoeuvres. Audiences will find interpretation of the complex and exciting manoeuvres easier through the use of a smoke system and different colour schemes on the top and undersides of the wings.
Cigars & Cards
Many of us enjoy the odd game of cards and it is usually during the festive period, having lost three games on the trot that we desire to be the all-conquering card shark – a consummate poker professional. A card playing expert will take all guests through the intricacies and nuances that are pre-requisites for the successful poker player. What is a poker face? Know your flushes from your full houses with this extensive introduction to the game of poker. The session may be combined with a tutorial on cigars and / or whisky tasting to complete the ambience.
Murder Mystery & Casino Royale
The full Murder Mystery production involves a team of five actors supported by costumes, special effects, written and visual clues and theatrical props. This very popular event can be either an evening or a weekend. We have a wide selection of scripts available and can tailor the event to your needs. New scripts can be written especially for you at additional cost. Feel the adrenalin rush as the roulette wheel comes to a stop, feel your heart skip a beat as the croupier turns the final card. Enjoy the glamorous world of the casino where nerves of steel are needed to become the ultimate winner.
Cocktails Evening
This experience teaches you the secrets of mixology, tricks used by the experts and offers an fascinating insight to the history of cocktail making. Guests will try their hand at making and tasting some of the most mouth watering concoctions around then watch how the experts do it. The experience starts with a welcome drink and an informative talk about the history of cocktails, terminology and tricks of the trade, followed by demonstrations from the experts and plenty of hands on time to develop cocktail making skills.
Dinner on HMS Warrior
As guests step aboard this sleek black battleship, they enter the world of the Victorian Sailor. HMS Warrior, Britain’s first iron-hulled warship provides a stunning setting for an impressive Dinner. Beforehand the ship is an open museum, where guests are free to explore all four decks, as Quartermasters in uniform of the 1860’s provide advice and detail of the ship. Guests will be given a unique insight into the domestic lives of the 700 men who lived on board, from the elegance of the Captain’s Cabin to the humble box of possessions of a seaman.
Night at the Races
Forget any pre-conception you may have of a low budget, amateur race night. A Night at the Races is a premium quality event, presented to the highest standard. From a fully themed ’sit-down’ event for 400 guests at Ascot Racecourse, to an informal after dinner activity for 20 people, we can tailor this flexible event to meet your personal requirements. Lively, outgoing staff and our consistent attention to detail ensure that our presentation of this popular entertainment is second to none, keeping the emphasis on fun and fortune!
Wine Tasting Evening
Have you ever wondered how Masters of Wine identify grapes, countries and years in wine without seeing the label? With the unique formulas behind the Blind Tasting Challenge you and your guests will be enthralled at just how much you can detect in wine and how quickly the necessary skills can be developed.
Auction Evening
Hosted by a top auction house we offer guests the chance to select and “purchase” a number of interesting items for auction later in the evening. Over drinks, guests (in teams if preferred) are given a budget to spend on items in the auction. The idea is to buy as effectively as they can to maximise profit – achieved by the bid paid being less than the value of said item. The greater the difference on each item (and remember you might end up paying over the official value) provides the positive (or negative!) margin. Normally the auction takes place between the courses of dinner. An Auction Evening works brilliantly as something different for entertaining valued guests or as a teambuilding activity. The event can be relaxed or fast and frenetic but it is always both exciting and educational!
